A Note From Leah
EVERY February, my thoughts turn to two things… “Love is in the Air” by John Paul Young and the impending heat of the spring market. It starts mid-January and runs until the end of March. Some neighbourhoods and price bands may start earlier or later: call if you want YOUR exact timing. Anyway, we are at the point where decisions need to be made about getting ready for a sale this spring.
I do not know of a SINGLE PERSON that gets excited over the process of preparing for a sale (except maybe us and the stager). We know that this time can feel incredibly overwhelming, and the questions seem endless. Where to start? What goes first? I don’t want to move until X, when should I start considering my choices… Where do I put my stuff? Why won’t anyone buy my stuff? Do I use a service? Should I trim my hedges?
The market might be weird this year. Non-confidence vote, Trump tariffs, Bank of Canada interest rate announcements, anti-flipping effect, BC Assessment changes… Circumstances may change and your outcome can always be the best for this specific time and market.
This February is shaping up to be hot. Implications of this incoming “heat” are specific to individuals. If you want to sell this year, we may be in the hottest market for sellers that we have seen in a while…
